Collelungo

If you enjoy “off the beaten path”  travel experiences you will fall in love as we did, with ColleLungo Six of my girlfriends and I stayed for four nights at Collelungo and experienced the ultimate in everything Tuscany has to offer.  This charming vineyard farmhouse is located near the village of  Castlelina  on the Chianti Road.    The cozy suites with kitchens (we didn’t use), and spacious living rooms were very comfortable.  The vineyard views from each of our rooms were spectacular.    There was still a bit of a chill in the air when we visited but the pool looked very inviting.  They have an honor bar where we were able to sample some of the fine wines from their vineyards after returning each day from touring Tuscany. If you like off the beaten path and quiet beauty this is the place for you. Located within a 10-15 minute drive to the beautiful village of Castellina where the restaurants and friendly people made us feel welcome. You can actually walk to town through the Vineyards during the day. Collelungo is also a short drive through the Tuscan Hills to all attractions along the Chianto Road. I can't wait for my next visit to ColleLungo. More than five months after our trip I still think of Collelungo when I want to "find a happy place".
