Relais San Damian

We are pleased to include the first B&B property along the top half of the “Ponente” Riviera, running along the coast from Genoa to the French border. Congenial hosts Roberto and Pamela made a lifestyle decision to move to the soft hills above the seaside city of Imperia and create an agriturismo farm literally from scratch. Starting some years ago with just a patch of olive groves, they acquired more land and built their home along with the large guest complex holding nine suites, many on two levels with living room, fireplace and kitchenette for cold meals. Each has an outdoor space, garden or terrace nicely decorated in country style and using a combination of local materials including terracotta, slate, marble, and wood. Guests become part of the home and are treated to a royal breakfast spread prepared daily by Pamela. The separate veranda breakfast room directly overlooks a borderless pool which literally spills into the sweeping valley below dotted with olive groves and stretching down to the sea and distant Imperia. Here is a chance to explore a lesser-known Liguria with its interesting villages or hop over the border to Nice or Monte Carlo.
