Nicolas Inn:

We stayed here at the end of November pre-cruise and will return to Rome because of our stay here. The inn is small but a hidden jewel because of the care and attention to detail of its owners Francois and Melissa Nicolas, who are available to offer assistance with any of their guests needs. The rooms are immaculate and spacious with large ensuite bathrooms. Breakfast is included at a nearby pasticceria which adds to the feeling of being part of the neighborhood and not just a tourist. Before our stay, we were concerned that Rome would be an overwhelming place for us; but the Nicolas Inn and its owners made it a wonderful experience. The location of the inn couldn't be better for visiting most of the wonderful sites of Rome; in fact the Forum is within sight at the end of the street. We have stayed in many Karen Brown inns and hotels throughout Europe and know that the Nicolas Inn would be perfect for many of your followers. We have always relied on your recommendations not only because of quality of these places but almost as importantly the warmth of welcome. So it is because of this that I wanted to make sure you consider adding this wonderful little jewel to your Rome recommendations, you will be impressed.

How to Arrive:
From Fiumicino Airport:
Take the Leonardo Express train to Termini Station and then follow the directions listed below for Termini Train Station. Trains depart twice an hour at :05 and :35 minutes past the hour. The ride takes 30 minutes. Tickets are 11 euro and be purchased from the ticket window or from automated machines. Be sure to validate your ticket before your board!
From Ciampino Airport: Take Terravision Shuttle (www.terravision.it) to Termini Station and then follow the directions listed below. Do not take a taxi from a driver that approaches you as you exit the shuttle. These drivers are usually illegal and charge substantially more than a legal taxi. The Terravision Shuttle will stop on Via Marsala, a one way street. Follow the flow of the traffic 1 ½ blocks. On the right hand side is taxi stand at the entrance to Termini Station. A taxi to Nicolas Inn from Termini Station should cost about 15 euro.
From Termini Train Station:
·         Metro: From Termini Station, subway line B (blue line), direction Laurentina, 1 stop to Cavour. As you exit the metro station take the stairs on the left hand side. Ristorante L'Archetto will be in front of you. Cross the street and turn left and follow Via Cavour as it bends to the right. Nicolas Inn is 1 ½ blocks down the street on the right hand side, just past Via dei Serpenti. At Via Cavour 295 buzz the bell for Nicolas Inn.
·         Taxi: Only take an official taxi with a meter. The rate from Termini Station to Nicolas Inn is about 15 euro, depending on baggage.
·         On Foot: Nicolas Inn is a 15 minute walk from Termini Station. As you enter the main hallway of the train station, turn left towards the Via Giolitti exit (there is a McDonald's across the street). Turn right as soon as you exit and take a left at the first traffic light you come to. Now you are at the beginning of Via Cavour. Walk several blocks and follow Via Cavour as it bends to the right as you pass Bar Venezia. Nicolas Inn is 1 ½ blocks further down the street on the right hand side, just past Via dei Serpenti. At Via Cavour 295 buzz the bell for Nicolas Inn.
