Excellent 4 star country hotel outside old town Brisighella, near Faenza, Ravenna, Bologna, etc. in quiet hilly area with good walking trails. 4 beautiful rooms and 2 splendid guesthouses, see their site for further descriptions. Nice pool with (free) snacks. Very nice hosts, you are feeling as a guest rather than a client.

My wife and I found Relais Varnello to be a wonderful, relaxing small hotel, with very gracious hosts. We have travelled extensively throughout Europe for many years and we would highly recommend this property. In addition to the favourable comments by other reviewers, we would add that the village of Brisighella was delightful, especially on Sunday market day. We also found the restaurant close to the the hotel to be excellent, and we enjoyed the short walk for dinner.
