Villa Rina

The whitewashed Villa Rina is a unique farm property sitting up among the terraced cultivated grounds on the Amalfi coastline.  Leave your car below on the main road and climb 100 steps to the historic home where hostess Rina offers guests accommodation within one of the four comfortably appointed bedrooms with terraces overlooking the spectacular coastline.  The home with small sitting area is surrounded by an expanse of olive and citrus groves and vegetable garden where guests can take walks through the property’s shaded pergolas.  Rina uses all her own produce plus fresh seafood, delighting guests with four course meals which rival those of neighboring restaurants.  She serves these traditional recipes on candlelit tables on the front patio with the light of the moon reflecting on the dark sea below.  Not to be missed!  Breakfast is served here as well with baked cakes, breads, figs or seasonal fruits from her orchard.  A 15-minute walk past local residences brings you right to center Amalfi with its stunning 9th-century cathedral, shops and paper museum.  Ferries for Capri leave from the beach and following the famed panoramic drive northward is mountaintop Ravello with its beautiful gardens and summer music festival, Praiano and of course, Positano. Weddings and other special events are organized for guests.
