Country House Cefalicchio

The Country House Cefalicchio, property of the locally prominent Rossi family, promises a memorable stay. The 200-year-old, monumental pale yellow residence complete with grand double staircase in front, sits on more than 200 acres of land. The plateau territory is covered with the region’s primary crop; olive groves, plus vineyards, orchards and vegetable gardens, all cultivated using strictly bio-dynamic principles. These earthly foods are brought directly into the kitchen of chef Sabino Di Stasi who creates magic before your eyes. The restaurant is in a separate house behind the residence with a patio for outdoor seating adjacent to the pool area. Within the historic home are two suites, seven bedrooms, and two apartments, one suitable for up to four guests. The two suites occupy the entire first floor and are the most characteristic with antique furnishings, high ceilings and French windows leading out to a terrace which winds around three sides of the palazzo. Living areas are more spacious than the bedrooms and the added bathrooms are quite small. Mansard bedrooms on the top floor, reached by a narrow staircase and all down one hall, have a common living room, which leads out to the loggia tower for extended views. Bikes are available and wine tastings, wild food cooking classes and tours can be arranged.
