Iskeroon

Just four kilometers from the Ring of Kerry, Iskeroon is one of the most secluded properties in Ireland, reached by a precipitous lane that tumbles down to the sea and a narrow farm track. Geraldine and David, an easy-going couple with two children are the first family to call this home. The property was built in the ’30s by the Earl of Dunraven, and used as holiday home. Snuggling into a sheltered spot guests enjoy two suites and a self-catering apartment in the wisteria-clad coach house adjacent to the main house. The accommodations have wireless broadband, cable TV and well equipped kitchens, lots of interesting books, games and IPod docking stations. The self catering apartment has a 4 night (minimum three nights)  can be either self catering or B & DIY (do it yourself) B where tea, coffee, orange juice, bread, milk butter and jam are provided. Guests enjoy splendid sea views from the garden and the private pier. The nearby town of Waterville has a good selection of restaurants for dinner. A not to be missed boat trip runs from Bunavalla pier to the Skellig Islands. Drives through splendid Ring of Kerry and Killarney scenery are a must. Derrynane is between Waterville and Caherdaniel.
