Clos de Mondétour

We have travelled extensively in Europe and have used the Karen Brown B&B Guides in France, Germany, Italy, England and Ireland, being well pleased with the places we have found to stay, as have some of our friends in Melbourne. Two years ago when visiting the Normandy area in France we contacted a B&B listed in your Guide to France. It was fully booked but the proprietor recommended we contact Aude Jeanson at Clos de Mondetour, Evreux, where we enjoyed a thoroughly comfortable and very happy stay. When we decided to return to the Normandy area in May this year we looked forward to our days at Clos de Mondetour as being a special part of our travels, in anticipation of the warm,. Hospitable and caring experience which we had enjoyed on our first stay two years earlier. This time we stayed there for five nights. Evreux is approximately 100kms from Paris, either by car or by train. This makes it a good base for day trips to Paris. We strongly recommend that you add Clos de Mondetour to your list of B&B accommodation in France. The accommodation is superior with large well appointed bedrooms and good sized en suite bathrooms and with a very well appointed and comfortable living/dining room. It was featured in “Maison Normande” in May 2008. The owners, Aude and Gregoire Jeanson, are a very charming and friendly couple who have three children. They are extremely fluent in English. They have restored their lovely 16th Century manor house, which was built approximately in the second half of the 16th century, in complete harmony with its history. It is set in a spacious garden with adjacent stable and horse yards. We have attached two photographs taken on our last visit. We could not recommend Clos de Mondetour more highly to you for inclusion in the options for France. Clos de Mondetour is one of the loveliest and the friendliest places in which we have stayed in Europe. Our return to stay there this year was something we happily anticipated because of the warm welcome and family environment.
