La Plantade

I would like to begin with a very important fact : La Plantade is a perfect get-away for Americans - because the owners Luc and Elena speak perfect English and have guests from all over the world! That made it very easy to travel in Provence and it was very important to us. My wife and I have been there twice in the past 3 years and plan on going there again. Food is fantastic - fresh, delicious, and authentic; food and wine pairing is out of this world! The owners have their own wine label and of course, you can taste many of the other locally made fine wines at their place. The property is located just a mile outside of the village of Visan - it is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, fig trees, beautiful oleanders, and lavender - all the plants of Provence. From there you can visit many local markets, castles, historic chateaus, or just stay in the back yard by the pool and enjoy the beautiful nature. Luc and Elena offer freshly made breakfast and dinner for their guests, and most importantly, their hospitality extends well into the late hours of the night over glass (or 2) of wine and surrounded by great company. The property is maintained in pristine condition, rooms are beautiful and peaceful, and the yard is quite big and boasting all the colors of Provence. We made good friends with Luc and Elena and with other guests there; definitely would love to go again! I am going to upload some pictures from the beautiful property - enjoy!
