Karen's Review Of
La Colline de Vence:
La Colline de Vence:
La Colline de Vence, a 200-year-old villa tucked in the hills above Vence, is an absolute jewel. You will be instantly captivated by its superb setting, stunning views, pretty bedrooms, lovely swimming pool, and, most of all, by your charming young hostess, Kristin. Kristin was born in East Berlin, moving to Burgundy after she married her French husband, Frédéric. They both dreamed of living near Vence and opening a bed and breakfast, so they bought an exceptionally large villa with enormous potential to use both as their own home and as a place to welcome guests. Each of the three bedrooms has its own private entrance opening off a sunny, flagstone terrace. The rooms are not especially large, but quite big enough, and each has a large window with a splendid view of the sea and mountains. They are tastefully decorated in a fresh, sweet, uncluttered style. Each is similar in decor, except for the color scheme: Amandiers is green, Orangers is a Provençal yellow, and Mimosas is a pastel lemon. There are also two junior suites: Bougainvilliers in handsome reds and yellows and Oliviers in a decor of soft cream and brown. The pool is gorgeous with a beautiful setting—on a lovely terrace with a breathtaking view over the picturesque landscape of Provence.

Highly recommend La Colline de Vence
About 12 minutes from the center of town, a few uphill hairpin turns and VOILÀ you arrive at the charming B&B La Colline. We traveled with a friend so we stayed in different rooms that were equally as nice. Only two nights were all that were available or we would have surely stayed longer. The added bonus, after day of touring, was the beautiful and immaculate pool area which was perfect for lounging. Kristen, our hostess, has a great sense of humor mak...

We had the pleasure of spending two nights at the La Colline De Vence in November with close friends. The location, accommodation and the view were oustanding along with the hostess Kristen. The proximity to Nice, Monaco and Cannes are only a short drive away. The serenity of this place allows you to escape from the hustle and bustle of the French Riveria. The overall value staying at La Colline De Vence is superb and one I hope to return to in the future.
