Domaine du Bois Vert

If you are looking for a tranquil little hideaway while exploring the beautiful area of Provence, the Domaine du Bois Vert is truly a gem. Although the construction is only a few years old, the clever owners, Jean Peter and Véronique Richard, have tastefully achieved the ambiance of an old farmhouse by incorporating a typical rosy-tan stuccoed exterior, light-blue wooden shutters, and a heavy tiled roof. The mood of antiquity continues within where dark-beamed ceilings, tiled floors, dark wooden doors, and white walls enhance a few carefully chosen country-style Provençal pieces of furniture and country-print fabrics. There are three bedrooms, each immaculately tidy and prettily decorated. The bedroom to the back of the house is especially enticing, with windows looking out onto the oak trees. Meals are not served on a regular basis, but Véronique treats guests who stay a week to a dinner featuring typical regional specialties. The swimming pool is a most refreshing bonus.
