Le Vieux Presbytere

In the heart of foie gras land and Armagnac territory is a delightful small place in rural southwest France that is a safe haven from noise and people pollution. Le Vieux Presbytere in Noulens is a little over an hour and a half's drive West of Toulouse and has two newly created, self contained gites and another room for bed and breakfast. The loudest noise comes from the birds or the splashing in the swimming pool [and the bells from the church next door on Sunday]. The presbytery is comfortable, immaculately clean and [if you just have to keep in touch] has a very efficient wifi service. There's also a huge breakfast tray for the really lazy. But it's probably the little touches that make this such a super find. A bottle of chilled wine awaits only the tire-bouchon, there's some bread and baguette, coffee, tea, milk and sugar and touches of convenience and comfort that show the guys who own and run the place, Jackie and Richard, have put a lot of thought into what they would like to walk into if they were guests not hosts.
