Manoir de Malagorse

You always dream of finding the perfect small hotel off the beaten track in France but very rarely do you find it. This is it and I agree with all the comments made by the earlier reviewer.
The owners Anna and Abel were charming and helpful when we booked, gave excellent directions - they are needed as the Manoir is very secluded - and gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. You always dream of finding the perfect small hotel off the beaten track in France but very rarely do you find it. This is it and I agree with all the comments made by the earlier reviewer.
The owners Anna and Abel were charming and helpful when we booked, gave excellent directions - they are needed as the Manoir is very secluded - and gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. Our room was charming with beautiful, thoughtful and tasteful touches everywhere and good plumbing. We had booked in for dinner and were not disappointed with the delicious four-course meal and excellent local wines. But breakfast the next morning was even better with fresh fruit, delicious freshly baked bread and pasties and wonderful homemade jams.
Sadly we were staying for only one night on our way home but we will definitely come back again even if we need to make a detour to get there. We also did not get the chance to explore the area and I cannot think of anywhere nicer to base oneself. I can unreservedly recommend this place.


PS I used to run "Seven Danube Street" in Edinburgh which you very kindly listed in your guide for many years. Being "in the trade" I am often hyper-critical and all too aware of the little things that can spoil a stay. But this place passed with flying colours
