Manoir De Bellauney:
Manoir de Bellauney is the perfect accommodation for exploring the Normandy coast line. An impressive manor house steeped in history but lacking the pretentiousness of some chateaux. The incredibly warm welcome from the proprietor makes the experience special from the very beginning and our room was very atmospheric, especially at night with only the small lamps on for reading. Antique furniture arranged in a simple traditional style with exposed stone walls did take us back in time. This is not lavish accommodation but is incredibly pleasant with beautiful gardens full of unusual tropical plants. Breakfast in the grand dining room was a lovely experience too. Dinner is not served at the manor house but there are several restaurants a short drive away. The accommodation is located on a fast road in between two towns so transport is essential. I would definitely recommend this property as it is really lovely and great value for money with rooms from 60 euros a night. I hope to be back one day!

We have enjoyed, many times, all the wonderful ambience Manoir de Bellauney has to offer. The fun of the 4-poster bed, the elegance of the Louis XV suite and the typical 19th Century Normandy room.
Madam Allix-Desfauteaux is an extremely gracious and charming host, refined and accommodating. A delightful breakfast is offered, accompanied by most pleasing harp music complementing the atmosphere perfectly.
