Manoir du Bois de Grez

This superb XVe and XVIe century restored Manor House is a Chambre d’Hote of great charm and distinction that lies just 500 metres from the picturesque village of Grez-Neuville on the Mayenne river. Set within manicured gardens with a lake, wild flower field and an abundance of fruit trees, the Manor exudes an air of relaxation and tranquillity - and our elegant hostess, Madame Cesbron, simply could not do enough to make we felt at home. The Manor has been lovingly restored with great empathy over 13 years to afford the visitor a little bit of heaven on earth. The guest rooms, each with a particular theme, are exquisitely and luxuriously furnished - totally in keeping with the rest of the house and the period. At Euros 80, to include a good breakfast with home grown fruit, this represents incredible value for money unsurpassed by any other Chambres d'Hotes in which we've stayed over many years of visiting France. This was our second visit and we couldn't wait to return; we left, vowing to return again next year.
