Le Vieux Relais:
The standard of the accommodation was excellent. The furnishings were beautiful and in keeping with the age and style of building. Valerie and Mikes friendliness and helpfulness added to the pleasure of the stay. Every morning there were freshly baked croissants, fresh fruit and preserves and excellent coffee, all of which made a great start to the day. There is a lovely garden to sit and relax in and sample one of Valerie’s delicious cakes. Le Vieux Relais is situated in the heart of the village of Pepieux. It is perfectly located for access to surrounding villages (of which there are many) and towns, Carcassone being one not to miss.

I would like to recommend Le Vieux Relais in Pepieux in the Languedoc
region. It would be well worth your visiting the chambre d’hote to see for
yourself. Val and Mike are outstanding hosts, driving us to and from dinner
in a nearby village, doing our laundry, making my husband a birthday cake.
They run an immaculately clean inn and are wonderful cooks making unusual
additions to a typical French breakfast such as a different fruit compote
