La Gueriniere

We just returned from our annual 3+ weeks in France.  My husband and I traveled with another couple, and this time we visited the Dordogne region and stayed at La Gueriniere in Cenac et Saint Julien, near Domme and Satlat-la-Canada.  Brigitte Demassougne has a gorgeous 18th century manor in a park setting of 10 acres, with 9 rooms and 2 gites in the Perigord Noir.  Her  gites are each very large with several sitting areas and huge dining tables. A swimming pool, tennis courts, blazing fireplace, and many paths for long leisurely walks through the woods are available to the guests.  We enjoyed table d'hote twice during our stay. She prepared delicious regional cuisine for us.  Breakfasts are included in the 95 euro nightly price, with home made jams, fruits & freshly squeezed juice, toast & croissants, eggs, and several cereals. This chambre d'hote definitely meets Karen Brown's standards, as we always use your books when traveling & stay mostly in Karen Brown recommended B&Bs and hotels. You may want to visit La Gueriniere and perhaps recommend it in the future. We are definitely recommending it to our friends.
