Wooden Cabbage is one of those rare places where you feel you could happily stay forever. The setting as you sweep down the drive towards the house is stunning especially on a perfect summer evening with the promise of tea (or wine) on the terrace. The house is airy, elegant and stylishly furnished with antiques and beautiful soft furnishings which complement the views. Our hosts, Susie and Martyn, however, are the stars of the show. Their talents extend not just to keeping a beautiful home, having deep green fingers and providing 5* breakfasts and dinners but also to possessing boundless energy and most importantly to making every guest feel special, pampered and well and truly at home. Every aspect of them and their home exudes a spirit of generosity.
