Karen's Review Of This Property:
A wooded driveway leads to Wildwood Manor, a custom-built, graceful Queen-Anne-style bed and breakfast nestled on a knoll in the woods with sweeping views of the San Juan Channel and mountains beyond. Owners Michael Bitterman and John Gallagher have spared no detail in its creation, or in the care they provide for their guests. The San Juan suite and Decatur room have water views; Shaw and Lopez rooms are wood-side. All have private baths, luxurious linens and the full range of amenities demanded by today’s savvy traveler. Each room is individually furnished and decorated in a blend of classic and contemporary styles. Soft colors are offset with splashes of brighter hues and artwork, and custom-made furnishings blend with antiques. The three-course breakfast will start your day off right. Later you can snuggle by the fire in the wood-paneled great room on those cooler, inclement island days and evenings. Stroll the woodland paths that wind through the Douglas fir and rare Madrona trees that abound on the eleven-acre property or simply lounge in the immaculately maintained gardens. Join in the morning and evening feeding of the resident deer and view the eagles and native birds that are also drawn to this peaceful retreat.
