Greenhill House
( Farmhouse B&B )
A Karen Brown Recommended B & B
Owners: Elizabeth & James Hegarty |

Karen's Review Of This Property:
The charm of Greenhill House is that Elizabeth and James Hegarty are particularly sweet people who have been welcoming guests to their house for many years. They are particularly knowledgeable about the area and happy to direct guests on where to go and what to see—of course the nearby Antrim coast is particularly popular. Elizabeth makes sure you are always welcomed with tea and cakes and have everything that you need. The farmhouse is delightfully old-fashioned and lovingly decorated with antiques, with bouquets of fresh garden flowers adding the finishing touch. Bedrooms are well equipped with sightseeing information; a tray set with teapot, kettle, tea bags, coffee, and chocolate; hairdryer; television; and even a little box of After Eight mints by the bedside. Plump comforters top the beds and fluffy towels hang on the old-fashioned towel rail. One the main floor you find a double and twin room with their bathrooms cleverly popped into snug “fitted” cupboards: a shower in one and a sink and toilet in another. Bedrooms under the eaves have more spacious bathrooms. A bountiful breakfast is the only meal served and Elizabeth will suggest restaurants round and about for dinner.
