Karen's Review Of This Property:
Whitepark House has a perfect location on the prettiest part of the north Antrim coast between the famed Giant’s Causeway and the precarious Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. A narrow pathway leads down to the cluster of white cottages and tiny church that make up the much-photographed village of Portbraddan (on a sunny day one could easily imagine oneself in Greece). In clear weather views extend to Rathlin Island lighthouse and the distant Scottish islands of Islay and Jura. Small wonder that Siobhan and Bob love the area and are keen for guests to enjoy it and their home. Whitepark House was built in 1735, extended in the early 1900s and totally remodeled in 2007 to add spacious bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms and a lovely conservatory where breakfast is served overlooking the garden. Bob and Siobhan are inveterate travelers—India, Japan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Africa. Fascinating mementos of their travels are artfully displayed alongside masses of leafy green houseplants, which flourish under Bob’s tender care. Bob is happy to drive walkers to the Giant’s Causeway and welcomes them home after a 13-kilometer coastal walk with homemade biscuits and tea.
