Karen's Review Of This Property:
The quiet country lane in front of Fosse Farmhouse is the historical Fosse Way, built by the Romans to connect their most important forts from Devon to Lincolnshire. Caron Cooper has furnished her rooms very simply with French country antiques. Charming knickknacks and china adorn the sitting and breakfast rooms. Upstairs are three extremely comfortable guest bedrooms and a magnificent old blue and white porcelain Loo. My favorite is the Pine Room, a double, with its mellow pine furniture and especially spacious, bathroom. Pink, also a large room, can either be twin or king-bedded. Blue is a smaller double room. With advance notice, Caron enjoys preparing an imaginative, two or three-course dinner, and is happy to cater to vegetarian palates. In the summer Caron opens the garden for delicious afternoon teas. At Christmas, Caron offers a three-day festive holiday. For longer stays inquire about self-catering accommodation: a studio loft and a one bedroom cottage with a glass-roofed dining room, cozy living area, and fireplace. This tranquil setting is within an easy half-hour’s drive of Bath, Bristol, Tetbury, and Cirencester. The picture-perfect village of Castle Combe is within walking distance.
