Karen's Review Of This Property:
Originally a classic hall house dating back to the early fifteenth century, Wilton House is to be found on the High Street in the bustling market town of Hungerford, known for its many antique shops. The flagstone-floored entry hall with its exposed timbers sets the tone for this lovely old house, now home to Deborah and Jonathan Welfare and their friendly black Labradors. Two tastefully decorated, comfortable, double guest rooms are to be found upstairs past the antique rocking horse, both with bathrooms en suite, one with a shower. Both overlook the quintessentially English garden with its brickwork pathways, lawns and flowerbeds to the rear of the house. Breakfast is served next to the fireplace in the wood-paneled dining room downstairs. Conveniently located midway between Heathrow and the Cotswolds, and five minutes walk from the local train station with regular service into London.
