Karen's Review Of This Property:
With her children grown and traveling around the world, Christine, an expatriate from England, decided to offer hospitality to travelers in her country home. Situated an hour north of Rome by train or car, the pretty countryside home made of typical local tufo brick is a short distance from the ancient village of Otricoli with its ancient Roman origins. It is one of many villages centered in the Tiber river valley, historically an important area for trade and commerce with Rome. A long wing off the main house, reserved for guests, offers three beamed bedrooms decorated with country furniture and overlooking the garden and hills. An order-as-you-like breakfast is served either in the kitchen or out on the patio. The cozy living room with open fireplace invites guests to relax after a day in the city. Being at the edge of Umbria and Lazio, she can suggest a myriad of local itineraries and destinations, known and not so well known, as well as town festivals throughout the region and concentrated in the months of May and June. This is a very informal, at-home accommodation just 7 kilometers from the main Rome-Florence autostrada.
