Karen's Review Of This Property:
In the countryside on the main road north of Arezzo (16 km) is the Villa Cassia di Baccano, a newly refurbished accommodation within a stately home and 16th century mill next door. The vaulted brick mill is where a buffet breakfast is served and where the reception area is located. Opposite the villa is a lovely borderless swimming pool overlooking a wide open countryside panorama, while the back opens up to face an umbrella pine tree garden. One and two-bedroom apartments within the main building are spread between two floors and are softly appointed with cool white and beige tones in a minimalist style. Wood floors and sleek travertine bathrooms harmonize well with the soothingly simple décor and canopy beds are made up with the finest linens available. All apartments have fully equipped kitchens and the ground floor accommodation includes a patio out in the garden. Rooms looking north have the same open view as that from the pool. Your hostess, Michela, is on hand to suggest itineraries in Arezzo, exploration of the immediate area or over to Chianti just across the tollway.
