Castello di Vicarello, an historic country residence whose origins date to the 1100’s, is an enchanting resort, a peaceful spot renowned for its quality wine & oil production. After traveling and living all over the globe the Baccheschi Berti family decided to restore this lovely old home and offer top of the line guest accommodation. The castle features three suites and two adjacent stunning stone guesthouses. The smaller guesthouse, I Sassi, has one bedroom, a large bathroom, a kitchenette and a glassed-in living room taking in the sumptuous view. The other guesthouse, La Chiesina, has two spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room with intarsia parquet. They are sophisticatedly appointed with family antiques and colonial pieces bought around the world, as are the luxurious suites, each with bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and large living room. The property features two swimming pools; a travertine infinity pool which hangs on the edge of the manicured garden, and a pool secluded among the olive groves. Your gracious hosts serve lunch and dinner based on organic local products and are even willing to reveal traditional family recipes and organize cookery classes for curious gourmets.
