Karen's Review Of This Property:

After many years of traveling to Italy at any opportunity, Jennie and Alan left England to move to Tuscany and fell in love immediately with Villa Mimosa, a rustic, 18th-century home with a shady front courtyard facing the village street and the church. They have created three sweet bedrooms and one attic mansard suite for four persons, each with a different theme and lovely mountain views. A cozy sitting room and a library with grand piano are reserved upstairs for guests and decorated with the Pratts’ own antiques imported from England. Jennie and Alan delight in sharing their passion for this part of the country known as Lunigiana (very near the Cinque Terre coastal area and one hour from both Parma and Lucca) and give their guests lots of personal attention, while making them feel right at home. Guests are treated to breakfast on the terrace overlooking the pretty garden and swimming pool with the Apennine Mountains as a backdrop and delight in Jennie’s creative cuisine straight off the Aga, based on fresh garden vegetables and local recipes. Tea and homemade cakes are served in the shady garden.

Directions: Leave the A15 autostrada (Parma-La Spezia) at Pontremoli from the north or Aulla from the south and take the autostrada S.S.62 to Villafranca, then Bagnone. Enter town through the yellow gateway, then over the bridge. Turn left following signs for Corlaga, and the villa is on the right 50 meters before the church.
