The Bad Dreikirchen is situated up in the Dolomite foothills with an enchanting view over a lush green valley and distant snowcapped mountain peaks. The young and energetic Wodenegg family works diligently at making guests feel at home in their lovely residence and running the busy restaurant, which serves typical local meals to non-resident patrons as well as guests. The restaurant shares the site of a unique historical monument—Le Tre Chiese, three curious, attached, miniature medieval churches. This unique inn is accessible only by taxi or Jeep, or on foot. An exhilarating half-hour hike takes you up to the typical mountain-style chalet with long wood balconies in front. The most charming rooms are those in the older section, entirely wood-paneled, with fluffy comforters and old-fashioned washbasins. The rambling house has several common areas for guests as well as a swimming pool. This is truly an incredible spot, near the Siusi Alps and Val Gardena where some of the best climbing in Europe can be found.
