Villa Farinella Sketch

Karen's Review Of This Property:

The northern part of the Lazio region holds many intriguing treasures to explore. Besides being less than an hour from Rome, it is the center of Etruscan history, with lakes, nearby seaside, thermal baths, and lovely gardens. Just down the street from the delightful Renaissance gardens of Villa Lante in Bagnaia is the gracious Villa Farinella, a very pleasant bed and breakfast within the 18th-century home of Maurizio and his family. Rita, his mother, lives in a restored farmhouse on the property and has passed her grandfather’s ancient home down to her son. In order to revive the home to its original splendor, the bed and breakfast solution was a perfect one. The first floor is entirely dedicated to guests, with four cozy bedrooms entering into one of two spacious living/dining rooms appointed with original antiques and elegant chandeliers. Each quaint bedroom with new bathroom has its own floral theme, which is followed through in color scheme, wallpaper, bedspreads, and curtains. One particularly large room has frescoed vaulted ceilings. On the ground floor, for longer stays, a two-bedroom apartment with kitchen opens out to the garden. You will be delighted with the warm hospitality, historic surroundings, and very reasonable rate.
