Karen's Review Of This Property:
La Minerva, a full-fledged hotel with many amenities, is located in a quiet section of Capri, slightly off the beaten track, yet still quite central, permitting easy access to the more bustling areas of town—a walkers’ paradise with no motorized transportation allowed. Glass entrance doors look straight through the capacious reception/sitting area across glossy blue-and-white tiled floors out to a view of the sea through another set of glass doors at the opposite end of the room. The captivating sea views through umbrella pine trees will strike you every time you come and go, as well as from most bedrooms. Rooms, all below this level, are reached by elevator, as is a small breakfast area, although most guests prefer breakfast served in rooms on their private balconies. The hotel’s royal-blue-and-white tile theme follows through in the luminous guestrooms (standard or larger superior doubles), which are accented by an occasional antique piece. Deluxe doubles have Jacuzzi bathtubs and larger terraces with sea view. A rooftop solarium is an unusual bonus and is a special location and treat for a summer breakfast buffet.
