Karen's Review Of This Property:
Foxmount is the sort of house that feels like home from the moment you walk in the front door. David and Margaret have been taking guests on their family farm for over forty years, and they very much enjoy welcoming guests from all parts of the world to enjoy the homely comforts and experiences of a family run country house on a working farm. Margaret is a natural at hospitality while David loves to talk about the farm and give advice on what to do and see in the area—the Waterford crystal factory is a big draw. Margaret feeds her guests lavish breakfasts. Tasty porridge cooked on the Aga with lots of cream. Scones that melt in your mouth with lashings of raspberry jam. Walk up the garden and see the fruits that she uses: strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, apples, and rhubarb fresh from the garden. There's no shortage of places to go for dinner and you are welcome to relax and make yourself at home in the drawing room. Upstairs, the extremely comfortable bedrooms have very nice bathrooms—two with showers over the tub and two with their shower cubicles tucked into separate little closets. One has an extra bed, making it ideal for families. Just down the road is the Passage East Ferry which takes you across the river to the pretty Hook peninsula.
