Visitors will truly appreciate the central location of The Pier House. This boutique B&B stands in its own secluded garden, a mere few steps from the harbor, restaurants, shops, and lively pubs of Kinsale. The house has a crisp air of contemporary upscale elegance. Its rooms are bright and airy, with dark wide plank floors offset by walls painted in fresh white and adorned with paintings by a local artist. The accent colors are taupe and burgundy. Goose-down comforters and immaculate white linens adorn the sleigh beds. The en-suite bathrooms have gray slate floors, black counters, gleaming white fixtures, spacious walk-in showers, and feature toiletries by Gilcrist and Soames. Three of the second-floor rooms have small balconies with harbor views. Those desiring some extra relaxation will find a sauna on an outdoor private deck. A sumptuous breakfast is graciously served and many will appreciate the privacy of individual tables. Long-time residents Ann and Pat Hagerty are more than willing to offer advice on where to dine and how to spend your time in Kinsale and the surrounding area. The Pier House has two entrances: one on the harbor side and another from Main Street, a side avenue filled with colorful eateries and shops.
