Karen's Review Of This Property:
Le Petit Romieu is situated in an intriguing part of France, a wild, open, unpopulated region of flatlands and marshes that stretch from Arles to the sea. You see some brilliant green rice fields, but this is also a region of vast estates where champion bulls are bred for the bullring and wild horses roam free. We love this open country and were happy to discover Le Petit Romieu. The home is very appealing—a two-story, creamy-toned stone building with tall French doors on the ground level and tall windows above, all attractively framed with light-blue shutters. A terrace dotted with white chairs and tables plus a green lawn bordered by rose bushes complete the attractive scene. There are a couple of guest lounges and a dining room on the first floor and then a staircase winds up to the bedrooms, each of which is individually decorated using pretty fabrics. The home operates as a bed and breakfast from April through August and at other times of the year serves as a hunting lodge.
