Karen's Review Of This Property:

When the Lamberts were looking for a home close to Avignon, they fell in love with a charming, 18th-century manor, but it was much larger than they needed for their small family. Happily, they considered the recommendation of a friend, a perfect solution—open a bed and breakfast. The Lamberts renovated the home, making five spacious bedrooms for guests, each with a king-sized bed and a large bathroom. Knickknacks, dolls, and family memorabilia give all the rooms a homey, lived-in ambiance. My favorite guestroom, La Cigale, is especially appealing, with windows looking down to a lovely, secluded pine forest. The heart of the home, the charming kitchen, has a large fireplace, a multicolored tile floor, and fragrant sprigs of lavender draped from the open-beamed ceiling, all combining to make this a cozy setting for breakfast. However, in warm weather breakfast is often served outside in the delightful walled garden. Guests are welcome to use the pool, a relaxing spot after a day of touring the countryside. The Lamberts are extremely gracious hosts who spent five years in the USA and speak excellent English.

Directions: Take exit 23 (Avignon Nord) from the A7, following signs on D6 to Vedène. Continue on D6 through Saint Saturnin to Jonquerettes. Turn right in the village center on D97 and go up the hill. As the road starts down the hill, the entrance is on the left side of the road, opposite a “road narrows” sign.
