Karen's Review Of This Property:
We received a compelling letter imploring us to visit Bastide Sainte Agnes—“...our favorite bed and breakfast in all of France”. We visited and were shown around the beautiful estate by the charming owners, Maryse and Michel Pinbouen. The Bastide Sainte Agnes, a 19th-century farmhouse gracefully restored to its original beauty, creates its own environment of peace and tranquility. It is hard to imagine that other houses are nearby and that Carpentras is only 3 kilometers away—high walls and many trees totally insulate it from the outside world. One part of the house is built of stone and another of stucco and the façade is painted a rich shade of yellow set off to perfection by pretty red doors and shutters. The guestrooms are all attractively decorated, but it is the gardens that will capture your heart. Immaculately tended lawns, exotic trees, and fragrant flowers exude beauty and tranquility. Adding to guests’ enjoyment are a large swimming pool, a romantic trellised niche where breakfast is served, and a “summer kitchen” where guests can fix themselves a light supper or lunch. Your hosts are extremely gracious and professional—always there to help if you have a question, yet never intruding on your privacy.
