Karen's Review Of This Property:
Pass under the stone archway draped in honeysuckle into the garden of the Maison Rancèsamy and you will be captured by its spell and understand why Isabelle and Simon settled here after much traveling. Everything was in bloom in early summer when we visited: the wisteria, the jasmine, the lavender, the roses, and the honeysuckle whose scent filled the entire garden. There is a wonderful herb garden whose bounty enhances the delicious table d’hôte dinners. In fine weather, dinner is served in the garden—otherwise, guests eat in the dining room. There are five tastefully decorated guestrooms, all named for flowers found in the garden. Each room enjoys a private bathroom. Guests enjoy the amenities of a lounge, and a swimming pool. Around the house and garden are many art works made by a friend: the artistically carved and painted dining-room table, the large entry bench with the cleverly placed game board at its center, and the totem pole on the deck. The spectacular views over the hills and vineyards will take your breath away. As Isabelle mentioned, she has been told that her home has soul and that is the best compliment she could ever receive.
