Casa Ciriani Sketch

Karen's Review Of This Property:
Casa Ciriani

A pleasant, budget choice for touring the Veneto region is found just outside Padua at Casa Ciriani, where Silvana and her mother, Mariantonia, thoroughly enjoy the international cultural exchange that their bed and breakfast business brings. Within the large family home, where Silvana grew up, are four simply decorated, homey bedrooms. All the bedrooms have a private, en suite bathroom (except one whose bath is located just outside the guestroom door). A bedroom with king bed, plus a twin bedroom combination and a bathroom, serves families well. The decor is much as it was before being converted to a bed and breakfast, complete with family photos, drawings, and other personal artifacts. Guests appreciate the large yard, and outside terrace overlooking the flower garden and grounds, where a breakfast of breads, cereals, fruit, cakes, and yogurt is served during the summer. Guests are also welcome to bring their own food and picnic. For those who love to explore, walks are organized on the nearby hills or tours of local wineries and artisans. Silvana be happy to teach guests over breakfast a few essential phrases that will make you feel comfortable shopping and ordering in restaurants. Albano Terme next door is famous for its thermal spas where Silvana's guests have a special rate.

My wife and I stayed at B&B Casa Ciriani for several days and what a wonderful time we had. Our hostess, Silvana, and her mother were very attentive and were a wealth of information for the surrounding area. They made us feel like we were relatives rather than travelers. Clean, bright and cheery rooms, sumptuous breakfasts and rates that can’t be beat. Would we go back again? Not only would we, WE ARE.
-- Larry and Jacky Radak (January 2, 2009)

Our stay at Casa Ciriana was a highlight on our recent trip to northern Italy. Even in late autumn the house was warm and inviting. We had such fun. Every morning Silvana and her mother had a conversation with us that eventually included:“What are you doing today?” and then led on to numerous helpful suggestions “you must see… and do try the … at ….”. and importantly, there was also vital advice about how to get there and back and where to park the car. We left the house each day with an itinerary that took account of our interests and copious maps, brochures and booklets. It was like having your own personal travel agent.

For students of Italian wanting to try out their language skills like us, Silvana and her mum are very happy to talk informally for as long as you want.

We were very grateful to Silvana and her mother for their very real interest in enhancing our Italian experience. They were very generous and open in sharing their home and way of life.

We have to go back!!
