Traveler Recommendation of:
La Torriola
It was the magnificent view across the Tiber valley to Todi nestling on the hilltop that first drew us to La Torriola. The charming reception afforded to us by multilingual owner Maurizio Giannini and his family, the quality of the facilities, including a beautiful pool, firm and comfortable beds, and the tranquility of the location have drawn us back again and again - for 6 consecutive years. There are five apartments set in spacious and well-tended grounds and the property has its own olive grove. The owners live in Todi. Maurizio - a lawyer by training - worked for many years in regional development and their love of Umbria is reflected in a host of recommendations for places to see and delightful local restaurants that no tourist guide has yet discovered. The inestimable attractions of Todi are 5 minutes away by car - not for nothing was this place selected in a U.S. study as offering "the best quality of life" anywhere on earth. But there's nothing quite like waking up to find a panoramic view of the place from your bed!

Hello Mr. Giannini,
We spent a wonderful week in your very very nice facility and we very much felt. The accommodation was fantastic, the view was very unique and the lasagne which you have served us was incredibly delicious. Right now we enjoy the products, which we have bought from you, they reminds us of a wonderful week in Umbria and in your sprawling complex, which we can fully recommend. Thanks for the bit of rest, which we enjoyed with you.

Agriturismo La Torriola
An American study has once described Todi as one of the cities with best quality of life in the world. Much better than that is to stay in Agriturismo La Torriola in Pian di Sa Martino, a small village 5 km from Todi. Torriola’s location is very convenient to make a day trip to Rom or other nice old cites. But not only the nice location and the rural landscape are the reason, why we have stayed in Torriola already several times. In Torriola we can really enjoy the best quality of life.
It begins with the warmful welcome by the owner and his wife, who are waiting for us with wines, olive oils, honey and a cake. Everything is homemade. Soon we feel at home. If we need advice for our day trip or something else, we just need to ask the owner, Mr. Maurizio Gianini, who comes everyday to Torriola. The accommodations are very comfortable. In the kitchen-garden we can pick up tomato’s with morning dew for the breakfast and fresh vegetables and herbs for the supper. In the daytime we enjoy swimming in the pool surrounding with roses and lavenders. On the poolside there is a fig tree. In August we can taste its ripe fruits. When we are back from a day-trip we still have time to lie on the deck chair on the terrace. La Torriola locates at a hillside with olive trees and walnut trees, which also belong to the owner. Lying on the deck chair on the terrace we get never tired of viewing the valley of the Tiber with a rural landscape to the town of Todi. In the evening we enjoy the wine of Torriola and a silhouette of Todi in the moonlight. We find ourselves in a peaceful harmony with the world.
