Fabrizio and Bianca, the Milanese hosts originally from this part of Umbria, restored their farmhouse, situated in the very desirable location just 2 km from Assisi, with their guests’ comfort foremost in mind. With careful attention to detail, six comfortable apartments and two guestrooms were fashioned within the three stone houses. Each apartment has one or two bedrooms, bathroom, fully equipped kitchenette, and eating area. Interesting decorating touches such as parts of antique iron gates hung over beds, terracotta and white ceramic tiles in the immaculate bathrooms, and antique armoires give the accommodations a polished country flavor. Le Pannocchie includes a corner fireplace, while Papaveri looks out over the flat cornfields up to magnificent Assisi and the Subasio Mountains beyond. Ambra looks after guests when the owners are away. A small dining room has been created on the ground floor, next to the 18th-century wood oven, for morning breakfast. At guests’ request cooking classes and guided tours are arranged to Umbria’s top sights. A lovely swimming pool, barbecue area, small gym, bikes, ping pong, and games for children are available for guests.
