Ghiaccio Bosco Sketch

Karen's Review Of This Property:

The turreted medieval village of Capalbio, perched on a hilltop, has the double advantage of being close to one of the prettiest seaside spots—Argentario—plus having the beautiful countryside and villages of Maremma to explore. Monica and husband Filippo run an efficient little bed and breakfast operation, having left a long career in the restaurant business. Breakfast, composed of fresh homemade cakes, breads, and jams, is served in the stone-walled dining room or out on the patio. Ten rooms in a row, each with independent entrance from the garden, are situated next door to the main house; while five new bedrooms have been added in the adjacent converted barn. Rooms are nicely decorated in a classic style, and have such amenities as television, telephone, hairdryer, and air conditioning. This comes in handy on hot summer evenings, although there is always a cool breeze passing through and the swimming pool surrounded by a manicured lawn is wonderfully refreshing. The farm property extends over 30 acres of olive groves and fields of grain and oats. Monica and Filippo run a little restaurant in town Trattoria Al Pozzo. Guests often eat here and at Tullio’s well known for its excellent food. The sculpture park of Niki de St. Phalle is 4 km away.
