Karen's Review Of This Property:
Pont du Gard, the ancient, three-tiered stone aqueduct spanning the Le Gardon river, is one of France’s star attractions and La Terre des Lauriers offers bed and breakfast within walking distance of this impressive sight. The house, beautifully situated in 13 acres of parkland, is typical of the region, with a tan stucco exterior, tiled roof, and lavender-blue shutters. Although, described as homelike in earlier editions, when the Langlois took over residence they spent time and money beautifully redecorating the guestrooms and concentrating on improvements in the garden. Readers have confirmed how lovely the property now is! Each of the bedrooms has its own personality and the benefit of a small balcony looking over the large swimming pool and out to the forest. On the same floor as the bedrooms there is an intimate parlor, which is solely for the use of the guests. One of the delights of staying at La Terre des Lauriers is its location: from the garden you can wander down a path through a dense forest of poplar, laurel, bamboo, and oak trees to the river.
