Karen's Review Of This Property:
Tim knows how to look after guests: For many years he was a hotelier at one of London’s splendid little townhouse hotels. After selling his share of the hotel, he came back to his native Devon to run Parford Well. Set within a walled garden, the comfortable house is totally dedicated to guest accommodation while Tim lives in the tiny adjoining cottage. Sink into the oh-so-comfortable sofas in the sitting room and toast your toes before the fire. The decor is of such a high standard that, apart from the smaller proportions of the house, you would think you are in a grand country house hotel. Breakfast is the only meal served round the farmhouse table in the dining room. If you want complete seclusion, ask to eat in the tiny private dining room with grand draperies that once belonged to the Queen Mother and has just enough room for a table for two. Upstairs are three delightful small bedrooms, two en suite and one with its private bathroom across the hall. He is an expert on where to walk, what to see, and which tea shops and restaurants to frequent. Castle Drogo is just up the lane. He can suggest enough activities to keep you busy for a fortnight.
