Zoo Safari (Parco Natura Viva)

Zoo Safari (Alive Nature Park), located at a few kms. from Verona, is the most important center in Italy for protecting extinction-threatened animal species. 1500 animals, belonging to 260 different species, live here in wide, green areas. The Park is divided in two sections: Safari Park and Fauna Park. Safari Park: the visit takes place in one's own car as a thrilling African safari. Along the way you will meet elegant giraffes, charming zebras, agile antelopes and also, in total safety, groups of lions and hippopotamus. The most crowded colony of chimpanzees lives also in this area. Fauna Park: this area can be visited on foot and gives hospitality to fascinating animal species representing the five continents, many of which are extinction-threatened in their natural environment. Inside this area, we can also admire the tropical Greenhouse, the Aquaterranium as well as the Dinosaurs Park.
