Review Of This Attraction:
The construction of the Abbazia Monte Oliveto began in the late 1300’s and wasn’t completed until the early 1500’s. The location of the of the Abbey offers views of the beautiful countryside, known as "Le Crete Senesi" meaning "Siennese Clays" which give the the hills southeast of Siena their gray appearance. visit during mass or special holidays to hear the Gregorian Chant sung by the monks.
