The Alpe di Siusi and the Sciliar with their unmistakable profiles are often found in old legends about witches and magic. And magic still is alive! The Sciliar, South Tyrol’s landmark, dominates the highest mountain plateau in Europe: unmistakable, unique and truly legendary. The Alpe di Siusi is the undisputed queen of all high mountain plateaus in the world. It stretches over more than 56 km² with its deepest point at 1,680 metres and the highest at 2,350 metres above sea level. The highest mountain plateau in Europe is one of the most popular winter sports and hiking regions in Europe.
