Moulin Castelas - Olive Mill

Catherine and Jean-Benoît Hugues have shaped in their own image this 45-hectare estate of olive trees (111 acres) located in the "Vallée des Baux de Provence" which was awarded an AOC label(appellation d’origine contrôlée - guaranteed origin) for black crushed olives, pricked olives and olive oil from the area. It is in this magical place at the foot of les Alpilles that they built their olive mill. They produce an olive oil of impeccable freshness which expresses the green, fruity character of the terroir. We recommend a free visit of the mill and olive oil tasting classes every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 10 am. Registration required by the Mas de l’Oulivie Hotel reception.
