Honfleur is a gem, its narrow, 17th-century harbor filled with tall-masted boats and lined with tall, slender, pastel-washed houses. Narrow cobbled streets lined with ancient timbered houses lead up from the harbor. Nearby, the ancient timbered prison is now the Musée d’Art Populaire, consisting of 12 rooms depicting the interiors of Norman houses including a weaver’s workshop and a manor-house dining room.
