Neighboring the Gorges du Tarn is another scenic river valley, the Gorges de la Jonte. In contrast to the verdent and lush canyon of the Tarn, the Gorges de la Jonte is tramatic and rugged. Overpowered by the towering Jonte canyon walls, traveling this valle affords a gorgeous drive and at its endpoint is the picturesaque village of Meyrueis.
