The intricate and delicate Sainte Chapelle with its stunning display of stained glass is a gothic chapel located on the Île de la Cité. Louis IV commissioned the Saint Chappelle in the mid 13th-century as chapel for the royal palace. The palace no longer stands but the church remains still as beautiful as ever.
