The Île de la Cité is home to Paris’s grande dame—the spectacular Nôtre Dame. This gothic cathedral is probably the most famous church in the world outside of St. Peters in Rome. Imagine, while in the cathedral, you are standing where famous historical figures, from crusaders to kings, once stood. Its history aside, the church is a pretty impressive structre.
